Red Bird is not a district in need of reinvention. It is a district in need of organization, amplification, and belief restoration. The PID is the organizing engine for 141 assessed properties in southern Dallas — authorized through 2035 to fund supplemental safety, cleanliness, and culture-led activation above what the City alone delivers.

Once the iconic RedBird Mall, today's SHOPS AT REDBIRD is the beating heart of southern Dallas — a reimagined mixed-use destination celebrating 50 years of community, commerce, and culture. From retail and dining to medical offices, fitness, and gathering spaces, Red Bird has evolved into a true live-work-play anchor for the district.
Its transformation is a cornerstone of the Red Bird PID's vision: building on this momentum to activate the streets, storefronts, and neighborhoods that surround it.
